Hinksey A34 interchange is a horrendous concept on a bike (West bound at least). For a (near) traffic free option I think that Harcourt route you describe could be best but it would take a £££ upgrade and possible rights-of-way mods.

If guaranteeing essentials sounds radical in 2025, it speaks to how far we’ve drifted from democracy’s core promise. Markets will not save democracy.
