Things you can do in the UK and get out on bail: modern slavery. Things you can't get bail for: spray painting a fighter jet to call attention to an ongoing genocide and the UK governments complicity in it. 🍉
The 37-year old has been bailed pending further enquiries. A closure order has been placed on one of the business premises, while a Proceeds of Crime Act application has been made and granted.

Desperate stuff.
The Conservative opposition on Oxfordshire County Council has proposed funding flags on lamp-posts. An amendment to the OCC budget, to be debated tomorrow, would “introduce a £50,000 funding pot […] for the provision of flags or banners on highway street light columns through an approved supplier”.

Percy St 2017 vs 2022 - when did the Council decide to turn part the pavements officially into parking?? And more importantly, why?

“You know it’s wrong so please move along!” Children and parents at Windmill Primary School and Headington Nursery School staged a protest this morning against inconsiderate and dangerous driving outside school. They cite the volume of cars coming off the ring road and cutting through these streets.

Patrick Grant (of sewing bee fame)'s clothing company Community Clothing roasting the Melania doc in its latest promo email was not something I expected, but it did made me chuckle.

I am probably not leaning too far out of the window assuming asylum seekers who travel long distances for medical appointments aren' doing that because it's so much fun. Can we please start treating people as human beings, and not as an item on a balance sheet!??
I genuinely don't understand, reading this piece, how we want asylum seekers to go to the GP. But people wait for years for their claim to be assessed, they are often put in places with poor public transport, and they can't not go to the doctor!
Ban on asylum seekers using taxis for medical appointments comes into force
It comes after a BBC investigation which showed people travelling long distances at high cost.

For anyone who hasn’t been, this is a lovely walk (bike ride) along the towpath and a lovely pub.
The Punter pub in Osney which has been vegetarian for five years, is to introduce fish to its menu, to target a wider clientele, citing the closure of the Botley Road and "financial pressures imposed on pubs by the Labour government". Their new menu will start on 9th February.

Oh, and

our ridiculous First Past the Post system. So he's in no position to blame anyone for "splitting the vote".

Things that you can do and get out on bail: Environmental crimes and money laundering of massive proportions. Things you can do and get put on remand for 2 years with no bail: spray paint a fighter jet to call attention to an ongoing genocide.
The suspects have been released on conditional bail pending further investigation. Preparatory works have already started at the site and the cleanup is expected to begin at the end of February.

"Council should not be raising revnue" from school streets. May I remind the editor of our local newspaper that the only reason they are is because drivers choose to ignore the restrictions that were put in place to PROTETCT CHILDREN from getting hurt or killed outside their schools.

I hated my replacement wheelchair at first. But then I realised the metal rims stick out further than my old one and are great for scratching the paint off of any cars and vans parked across a pavement I'm using. Had it a month and racked up 3 cars and 4 works vans. 4.5 stars.
