Wetlands are vital to our way of life. They soak up floods, store drought water and filter pollution.

We must learn, act and protect wetlands.

On #WorldWetlandsDay we celebrate traditional knowledge and cultural heritage that supports this protection and has safeguarded wetlands for generations.

The Agreement on Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction - or BBNJ Agreement - enters into force today.

After two decades of negotiations and a quick ratification process, this treaty is a powerful win for the ocean and multilateralism.

#GEO7 lays out a simple choice for humanity.

Continue down the road to a future devastated by climate change, dwindling nature and polluted air, or change direction to secure a healthy planet, people and economies.

This is no choice at all.
