This isn't an endorsement of AOC for president or anything. What I am saying is that I think historian Jon Meacham is right: the USA is a pendulum. If fascists attempt to seize the levers of power in violent ways, they will be removed with just as much gusto, and a progressive era is inevitable.

We're partly in this mess because Dems have repeatedly failed to use their limited levers of power while in the minority. Withholding votes in the Senate until you've extracted real concessions is a big one.

The fucking Desert Shrine level was my absolute breaking point. When I saw "31 levers left" (or however many there were) pop up on screen I was fucking incredulous, I wasted so much time on that level and about pulled my hair out when I changed my weapon loadout only to have to START ALL OVER
