Early game you cast Umori, then late game after a few board wipes you bust out Izoni to make a thousand bugs or whatever. You can run all the fun self-mill creatures, but you don't have to focus on reanimating anything, just fattening up your graveyard.

I have my Sivriss/Cloakwood Hermit #EDH deck with an insect subtheme but I’m splitting it into an Amzu insect deck with Grist, Izoni, and Aatchik in the 99, and the Sivriss/Cloakwood as a “leaves the graveyard” more political leaning deck. Hope you’re having fun bugging everyone with your deck too!

Izoni just never had a chance really... she just wasn't fun to play.
Zenos is a deck for a more social player.
I am not sure about Mirko........ I dont think it makes my brain work the way I want it to.
NIko........................ idk maybe Niko is basic enough to be safe

So far Gold Fishing both Zenos and Izoni they both seem underwhelming. I dont really want to put money into either deck frankly speaking... but they both exist and I am somewhat interested in them.

So I've definitely settled on Izoni Roots for the Non-Commander Commander deck cuz regardless of where it is Roots is a wacky magic card.
Decided to exclude Jumpstart and Conspiracy, effectively cards not printed into standard or modern and honestly considering cutting modern Horizons.

Considering an Izoni deck where none of the cards first printing was in a commander set. She has some pretty incredible card draw stapled to her and Green Black is really good so it should make for a good deck. It is kind of wild that she is a Titan but w/e

Karador got to come out to play today. Was a little of a struggle to just some awkward draws. Had to deploy an empty Cauldron Familiar as a blocker & had to chump w/ an Arbor Elf. Eventually I got Izoni out & Reanimate an enemy Regal Force. This was the gas I needed to close out w. pod into Hulk
My Nethroi deck was no longer sparking joy which gave me an excuse to turn it into Karador. I received a judge promo of Karador while being recognized for my work at GP Montreal '14. This deck is centered around Defense of the Heart/Protean Hulk line for victory

Karador got to come out to play today. Was a little of a struggle to just some awkward draws. Had to deploy an empty Cauldron Familiar as a blocker & had to chump w/ an Arbor Elf. Eventually I got Izoni out & Reanimate an enemy Regal Force. This was the gas I needed to close out w. pod into Hulk

This is my starting point - once these are built I'm going to move on to other commanders and sets/planes to represent. You treat every commander as if it had Partner (and all variants of that, i.e. Background, Friends Forever etc).

Golgari is my guild, and I have been wanting a solid Golgari deck for a few years.
Tried building a deck with Izoni. In hindsight, too few lands, too few mana dorks and way too little card draw.
Savra goes well with my current stax playstyle.
Just need to fit appropriate finishers in the deck.
