This is a great post that I support but one thing I wanna push back on ever so slightly is that Rhystic Study was not a part of commander as a whole until the widespread adoption of cEDH in the last 5-7 years. We had like nearly 10-15 years where Rhystic Study saw fringe-at-best play before now
My favorite game is most often ruined by one card. That card is called Rhystic Study. So here are ≤500 words urging Gavin and the Commander Format Panel to ban it ASAP:

Hasbro made 1.7 billion dollars last year by selling Final Fantasy magic cards and they can't see the point in funding their own video game studio
Hasbro-owned studio Atomic Arcade has been shut down, with all employees seemingly laid off.
The studio had been developing a AAA-adjacent game based on G.I. Joe's character Snake Eyes.

I don't believe in fate or karma because nothing is fair but yesterday I talked myself into spending $30 I don't have in order to feel cool and treat my friends to something nice and doing so may have accidentally solved my biggest problem and saved my life so uhhh thank you god/jesus/yahweh/allah

One element of this that I think is important, for me personally, is that folks who have “changed sides” or “seen the light” shouldn’t be clamoring for positions of leadership. Someone who is radically changing opinions while still trying to lead reeks of self-serving false belief.

One of my favorite stories is from a conversation I had with the art director of Rick & Morty who said he had to pull aside one of his animators (former Disney) and basically tell him to dumb down his designs and get less granular because what disney needed was way more than what Cartoon Network did
It reminds me of an answer Aaron Blaise gave someone who asked him "what can I do to work at disney"
and he responded
"dont ask what you can do to work at Disney, ask how you can become a stronger animator."

Thanks to Covid and games taking 5-7 years to make now, it feels like the PS5 era has barely started. Plus console growth has been flat since everyone can play Roblox and Minecraft on their old machines. Hard to imagine customers taking to a PS6 in 2027

Most PS5 users I know feel extremely shortchanged by the fact that we got PS5 Pro before we really had any games that needed it, to conclude this console generation without another couple years of fully mastered PS5 tech would such a colossal waste.
Pushing the PS6 back a few years would be a silver lining of the RAM crisis! A 2027 release would be such a disaster for everyone involved

Things are as bad as they've ever been BUT I just smooched two kitty kat butts as I was climbing out of bed because my cats love me and are very cute and love to snuggle so unfortunately I must persevere.

Without hyperbole: I would settle for the Democrats doing literally anything whatsoever. I have never in my life felt more underserved by the Democratic Party of the United States than I do today
I think it’s time for Democratic leaders to start saying “if you’re a pilot or ground crew involved in a deportation that was stayed by a judge, you’ll be held criminally liable for human trafficking.” Everyone involved in these flights should have that fear in the back of their minds.

I will also accept “oh #metoo pointed out with plenty of evidence how widespread rape culture is targeting girls and women, I guess so many people shouldn’t have shut survivors down by claiming it had gone too far”

This attitude of “well, I’ll vote to stop MAGA but only if I don’t have to compromise any of my values” demonstrates a lack of urgency about the situation that I simply cannot relate to. “We deserve better”—ok. Maybe after we stop the fascist takeover I’ll have emotional space for that.

For a first party Nintendo game to be less than half price on sale, it means that Nintendo genuinely believes there isn't any more blood to squeeze out of the stone. I think the reviews really killed this in the cradle (which is fair) but it sucks for Nintendo to have such a huge disappointment
