The truth is that the happiest day of my life is not the day I had the most sex or got the most high or the day I experienced the highest volume of chemical reactions associated with happiness, it was the day when I realized that I was spiritually prepared to accept happiness and be worthy of it.
Just had one of those "I can never tell anyone what just happened moments"

once again just gonna point out that if you hear good news and immediately start doing deep research to find a way it's bad news so you can be sad/angry about it you should probably stop posting online and start looking into therapy

Seventy Bucks is a Hundred Bucks
One takeaway from the DICE convention here in Las Vegas, where game makers gather to pitch and schmooze?

Most video games should not cost $70.

This week’s column: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...
Video Games Need to Be Cheaper to Buy
One way to get out of the video-game industry funk is to recognize that players aren’t spending $70 on most games

Remember that this was cheaper than police reform
"'She is dead,'" Officer Auderer told Officer Solan, before bursting out laughing.

"'No, it’s a regular person,' Officer Auderer said, adding: 'Yeah, just write a check — $11,000. She was 26, anyway. She had limited value.'"

I think if you genuinely tried to talk about South Park or Idiocracy as harmful to the left or some kind of movement that had real world implications then you just straight up shouldn't be allowed to vote until you write one good joke to prove you've grown up & understand the concept of humor now
it's hard to understand how things got so bad. my theory is we didn't have enough thinkpieces by people in their 30s interrogating the politics of cartoons for children. forty or fifty more of those coulda turned this all around

a stat i always cite is the number of anti-trans articles in the press went from 60 in a year, to 7,500

It IS great news but they are not the first sex work union in the US! Strippers in Los Angels "Star Garden" did this a few years ago, don't wanna erase their hard work!
HELL YEAH!! All workers deserve to be treated with respect and have a say in the terms of their employment. Sex workers are no exception.

So awesome to see the first sex worker union forming!

I support this and think trans art deserves space everywhere but the idea that Visual Novels are "accessible" to zoomers and alphas is very antiquated. Kids today cannot fucking read, and do not have the attention span for a 16 hour light novel about time traveling your way through body dysmorphia
i feel sorry for everyone going all why is there no manga/anime with no trans chars when there exists accessible mediums like visual novels where that actually happens cause we can tell our own stories entirely independently without relying on billion dollar studios to fund and censor the projects
tbh if you're not plugged into the indie oelvn scene already what the hell're you doin!!! the scene is bursting at the seams with cool stuff and there are so many works that are criminally overlooked within it, play some real shit!

It's so absolutely insane to me that MNS was able to drag "Unbreakable" kicking and screaming into the world, a virtually perfect film acted incredibly, shot beautifully, with resonance that hit me spiritually as well as emotionally... and then he did "Split" & "Mr. Glass".. drowned in a damn puddle
Mr. Glass in "Unbreakable" (2000) is Samuel L. Jackson's most complex performance ever. He's not cool, he's not sinister, he's not "badass." Instead, Jackson brings a kind of heartbreaking vulnerability and a desperate search for identity to the role that we've never seen before or since. Pure art.

Unless they are nakedly socialist like Jezza or Bernie, then everything they do & say is take as a literal fact
incredible how white men are given the benefit of the doubt when anything coming from marginalized groups are treated with utmost suspicion and distorted beyond recognition

I think posts like this are hilarious in the context of "Binding of Isaac is one of the biggest and most popular video games of all time and everyone on earth who plays video games knows what Binding of Isaac is like or about so like what did you think would happen"
February 12, 2026 at 1:14 PM
This is how I'm feeling about Mewgenics: if the devs think Ed is a good guy, and he paid them well, and the trans/female/minority members of the team vouch for him and say he's just a sweet guy with an edgy 2000's sense of humor then he's probably cool but seriously Fuck Ethan Klein.
If you actually look at the main dev team, 2/3 of the main artists are trans, I myself was the editor and have a trans girlfriend. Ed always likes to work with the outsider types and has always been pro-gender nonconformity. Just look at how Binding of Isaac tackles gender identity

The worst part of this recursive cycle is that the pie is shrinking, and the people who deserve the slices the most are the ones who get totally shut out because they're writing real articles by hand while they get outpaced by someone prompting dozens of phony blog posts in a day

kinksters who can't/won't acknowledge they're participating in kink are a huge social problem right now, imo. ai gooners, trad influencers and breeding-obsessed politicians are all (among other things) perverts who insist they hate perverts.

I feel like everyone under the age of 35 really needs to learn to just shut the fuck up! You don't need to be saying all that into a microphone! Zip the lips and hit da bricks!

Identifying as the devilish outsider who never gets the girl while also admitting with your whole chest that you feel like you got bullied out of being an x-men fan by the GAYS is soooooooo funny man
I was reading it BEFORE the LGBT fans homesteaded that everything they like should be About Them.
Maybe some people are misunderstood for other reasons.

I always identified with old-school Nightcrawler, the positive-thinking weak-powered group-glue showoff who never got the girl.

Does that even matter? Marvel Rivals was a break out smash success seeing absolutely ludicrous player counts and the us team still got 86'd immediately post launch. It's not even success or failure, it's determining precisely how many margins still exist in which you could extract profit and gouging
It sucks that every multiplayer game lives and dies by whether it’s an instant success or not, whatever that metric means anymore

There's a single instance of this in Nine Sols where the game asks you to open a door by solving a kind of environmental puzzle that is neither hinted at nor replicated elsewhere in the game. I cleaned the map 3 times before looking it up and I'd have simply never thought of it on my own, a bummer.
MIO is a pretty good Metroidvania that also shows how difficult it can be to make a cohesive world that isn’t confusing to navigate. At a various point, the game wants you to do some obtuse things in specific places and it doesn’t make that clear. Thrill of discovery stalls pretty hard.

I'm torn because while I really enjoyed S1 I haven't tuned in to SW year because past a certain point I can't shake the feeling that I'm still just watching someone else play video games, something I have been vehemently and radically opposed to ever since the Big Brothers Convention of 1999.
new fallout season had some good moments but it felt overly committed to setting up the next season and I think weekly release actually hurt it, despite everyone rabidly insisting otherwise for the first season

I may delete this because it’s a bit spicy but it shouldn’t be lost on us that games being turned into TV is essentially harvesting the stories written by those who don’t have union representation or healthcare with WGA by those that do. Our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?
