The issue that I have with this Jumpstart release is that I was so happy to see this card previewed, but that was because I thought it was in the main set. Vanilla creatures are so nice for setting the tone of the world, and I miss when they were just in sets.

I do miss how back in the day you had one commander release and it was like the most important day of the year as a commander player, spamming spoilers and everyday to see what the new decks and cards were and then talking about it with your friends
I realize that a common response would be “I wouldn’t”
But
It’s 2016 you run wizards. You realize and know that commander will be the main way people play magic moving forward and there no internal pushback against this.
How would you change your design process/product releases/game philosophy.

MKM was a disappointing set under many aspects, but the Mia Boas full art basics are without a doubt some of the prettiest I've ever seen.

speaking of blocks, i think that duskmourn would have really benefited from a condensed khans block approach where we see the plane as it was/as Val took it over, and then the set we actually got

I love to see, week after week, Premodern cards spiking in price. To note that most of these have modern reprints that are much cheaper (and legal in PM), but the original old border versions are getting quite pricey, which speaks for the popularity of the format! #mtgpremodern

Which makes me think btw that Rampant Growth is a very strong card and too many Commander players disrespect it because it only gets basics. Y'all don't play enough basics and also don't respect the power of 2 mana land ramp enough!
This is the first time that Rampant Growth gets a functional reprint. Pretty wild!

With the Standard ban, this card should get quite a bit cheaper. Commander players might want to get their copies, card's very good.

Personally I also hope for a High Tide ban in Pauper, and for multiple bans in Legacy hitting Reanimator, Mystic Forge, Nadu and Oops (don't play the format but I follow it a bit).

So, as I've seen some contrasting claims and ended up a bit confused myself, help me out: As far as I understand, with the proposed hybrid mana rule change for EDH, Shu Yun could helm a Jeskai deck, but be in the 99 of a Jeskai, Azorius or Izzet deck. Is that correct?

This card is very good. It's probably going to be another one of those where people will focus way too much on the 7 mana Blood Moon ability, not seeing that a 2 mana 2/2 Menace that makes nonbasic lands enter tapped is already very strong.
