6 Card Starting Hand
Had a manager walk up to me and be like "You've worked here 4 years" like a fucking quiet alarm clock and that was pretty much the end of the conversation.

He asked if I had any ambitions of anything at Amazon and I mentioned wanting to work with the robots and he told me to ask the app..

Amazing

Two uncommon sweepers is wild. I understand one is a Pyroclasm but 60 out of 158 creatures have toughness 2 or less.

In the Avatar set there are 2 lands that produce creatures in the rare slot and one that turns lands into creatures. Do not overlook these lands, if your pool has enough removal There is a chance for a VERY funny deck in this limited environment.

Im pretty high on Yangchen, I think she is really good. Like, 5 mana remove 2 things from an opponent's board, possibly draw 3 and then getting a removal/flicker engine on the back is really good.

In limited I think I disagree with @nizzahon.bsky.social on Rise of Sozin as your opponent gets 3 turns between Rise coming down and you attacking. In that time your 40 card deck should produce SOME SORT of removal that isn't airbending cuz if it is thats is probably worse.

Interested to see tho.

Hello Standing Stones, how are you?
November 12, 2025 at 9:27 AM
I think Earthbending might of the strongest of the four bendings in the set... Airbending seems very strong, but Earthbending has such a creature density and size advantage that 1-for-1s dont seem that great. It does open you up to lands getting bounced more however.

Is it just me or is Waterbending REALLY BAD without Firebending? That seems pretty weird.
November 12, 2025 at 9:18 AM
3 Common Firebenders and 10 Uncommon is interesting. Im very fond of Red/White as that brings you into Waterbending Territory with Ralliers.

If your pool and support splashing Blue Katara Water Tribe's Hope seems like a great top end with her Mirror Entity effect.

Lots of Firebending Pay-offs in White//Blue
November 12, 2025 at 9:06 AM
So Firebending is weird cuz Lightning Strike is much better in this set than it is in a lot of them as on your turn it could be practically free, however that is on your turn.

Im sad the limited environment seems to be missing a Comet Storm to sink your red mana into.

This guy seems pretty strong. Also, while he studies he doesn't actually learn his lessons until its too late for him.

Okay, day 4 of the work week.... Pain level is incredibly high but I just gotta make it through today and I am off for 3 days.

I really wish I didn't experience so much pain every week, I know to a degree it is a result of hard work so there is some reward to it but it would be nice, y'know?
November 12, 2025 at 8:34 AM
Ugh... Im in so much pain. Like despite the cold I don't think I can bring myself to wear real shoes.

Just gotta push through tomorrow and then I will have survived a full work week without taking any days off for the first time since I started this shift

Me talking about Philosophy: Yeah so everything is bad and dark and people are inherently evil and the world is an awful place

Me talking to other people: Look I didn't ask if you have the money for food I asked if you wanted to go eat.

"If you hate losing get hotter opponents"

Is unironically one of my favorite pieces of framing advice! Like holy shit yes! Find ANY EXCUSE to enjoy the game loss.

Yo I am going to cry! I was such a massive fan of Beakman's World as a kid and had no idea about this guy's personal life.

I want to learn more so badly!
Also I know exactly who needs to hear this but when Paul Zaloom was not playing Beakman he was making radical queer art in which he opposed the George W. Bush administration and Iraq War with puppets
I don't know who needs to hear this, but all four seasons of Beakman's World are on Tubi.

One of the best science shows for kids ever produced and one that definitely should be mentioned alongside Mr. Wizard, 3-2-1 Contact, and Bill Nye the Science Guy.

So how does Iroh compare to Kess? 2 more mana but in green seems comparable.

Listening to EDHRec cast's "Last Game" Episode and like I'm so glad I built the @veggiewagon.bsky.social inspired Lord of Pain group hug deck, cuz that really is a Group Hug Go Fast deck.

It's an entire EDH Game compressed down cuz everyone is drawing more, getting ramp and taking damage.

This lil idiot will be my UFO Poster... I want to believe.

Look even if your control deck only has these two cards in it, it's probably good enough for Lessons. MAYBE you want Quench as a 2 mana bad counterspell but Attachment lets you Abandon Lessons to fuel your cum Knowledge and an Instant Speed Draw 3 for 2 mana is insane.
