WIP: I did pick are particularly weak pigment as the base colour for the green armour plates. Thus 9 minis, 2 and a bit coats each just to get to this stage. Much slow.

Genestealers and Harlequins, mostly. I appreciate tragedy.
As far as the former; I really enjoy their playstyle, and I like the Tyranids a lot, generally. The latter are arguably the sanest faction in the entire setting, ridiculous as that superficially seems.

Nearly done with my malstrain genestealers, they are a lot easier than they looked since you really just dry brush multiple brown layers.

Last year I painted a test mini, a bunch of bases and got a unit up to the dry brush bone stage... then utterly burnt out and packed them away.
But now they are back! I want to paint up the unit and see if I can update the older ones a little.

#hobbystreak 1283 I cleaned up Dante a little bit, drilled his barrel. Just gotta base him up and he's ready for a prime. I also finished cleaning up my genestealers so they are done and dusted! With them that makes 120 minis done this year!

#hobbystreak 1281 today I finished the orruks. They were meant ti be just tabletop ready as an example of a few colors schemes wirh loose star wars vibes. I also highlighted the red claws and then dotted the eyes on the Genestealers.

#hobbystreak 1280 worked more on the red claws on the genestealers. I must admit im doing them somewhat lazily, but it is also one of tyranids many many horde units so I don't feel too bad. I also got a second coat of ivory + bases and a skin wash down on the ourrks
