there were some AA emplacements that people could man if they disembarked and got on to man them manually
but Blackbeard health and the rules making it a guaranteed kill for the jets while I could shrug it off made it the preferred option

problem was the jets. they were outside everyone's range and no one had any flying gear to cover the distance
