Amen! And for all #Mets fans angry that Pete Alonso walked, do they remember that he could've opted in and accepted $27M to have been a Met in 2026? 🤔 I'd never begrudge him or anyone else from making the most money for honest work, but $27M is hardly a pittance. Good for him and the Orioles.

spent my teenage/young adult years living at camden yards but had to take the ethical stance to step back when they had a payroll of $27M after the chris davis disaster extension

They did. June 2023: 7 years, $158M. He turned it down. He also could've opted in for '26 for $27M. He opted out. We've all been looking at it from the player's perspective. But there's also the team's perspective. They tried twice to sign him and he said no. Maybe a third time was too much?

Ben Bradley caused outrage by alleging the money spent on free school meals effectively went on crack dens and brothels. Yeah, Ben, the kids took their food and sold at at the school gates instead of eating it right?

The 1,200-year-old, 27m ginkgo at Hida Kokubunji Temple in Takayama is a National Natural Monument and a popular photo spot. Known as the ‘Chichi-Ginkgo’ (Breast Ginkgo) for its breast-shaped roots, it has long been revered as a symbol of safe childbirth and child-rearing.

Yes, thank you for questioning this ridiculous “investment”, and another huge police budget increase, that is proven to do nothing to help the root causes of most crime in this city. Imagine what 27M for education and social services could do?
