i learned slowly how to like small talk in bursts. you get to size people up, figure out how they respond to subjects. It's like math.
I mostly turn it into a chance to make jokes because that's how I learned to make my adhd socially tolerable.

The tattoo is a reference to Appalachian Mountain Club’s White Mountain Trail Crew — informally known as the Trail (Fixing|Fucking) Crew — which was established in 1919, and on which Platner worked in 2002
