If you see stories about trans people being targeted for discrimination and psychological torture and your response is to shrug because you still have "questions" about trans identities and aren't motivated to advocate for their lives because you think it's a political loser, well gosh, you suck.

Damn near half of my career consists of tracking Republican challenges to the ACA and I’m twenty years in the game
Still processing the inanity of this cave, like, "We're going to make Republicans go on record that they want to destroy the ACA." You mean the motherfuckers who radicalized in opposition to it & voted to repeal it, like, 22 times? You're finally getting them on record? Really impressed over here
“If Schumer really wanted to use his considerable influence and leverage to stop this, he could have done that,” a senior Democratic Senate aide tells Zeteo. “He didn’t.”

Protecting a campaign message and a Senate relic that benefits Republicans far more over actually fighting is just unforgiveable.

It's not just that the Democratic party is a gerontocracy—it's a gerontocracy run by the people most likely to fall for Publishers Clearing House scam.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

The Supreme Court not taking Kim Davis’ crackpot appeal doesn’t “indicate” a lack of appetite to overturn Obergefell—just that this was a ridiculous legal argument. Pathetic framing here by the Washington Post. There is absolutely a ticking clock on marriage equality. DO NOT CONGRATULATE

How do you hold them accountable when you've removed the consequences for their actions? Please go take a basic psychology course.
My Republican colleagues—including President Trump—have repeatedly told voters they'd address health care costs once the government was open.
We've secured a vote and now it's time to hold them accountable.

LMAO, Third Way is always desperate to defend the liberal cowardice of "centrism," so if they're upset, you really blew it.
Even the Dem centrists at Third Way are mad about the deal moderate Senate Dems cut with Republicans to end the shutdown:
"We should not have surrendered until we received at least something tangible on lowering health care costs."

As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.
