Watched a bit of this Beastie Boys concert last night with Mix Master Mike.
First thing, absolutely impeccable performance. Like... not one dropped bar or word.
2nd, just "foot on neck" "pedal to floor" energy. They do not let up.
3rd, Mix Master Mike is the Neil Peart of turntables. Scientific.

*healing* people on Sunday vs *extrajudicial murder*. Can you please expound upon this?

Within 2.5 months since insurance sign-up, I've received 60 pieces of mail. In one mail they said "you will renew with no changes" and then another mail *increased everything from deductible to copay*. Same plan name!
Why would anyone have faith in a system that confuses and inundates like that?
Sick and frustrated people who are being crushed by socially complex societies in several dimensions are easy to convince that certain parts of social organization (vaccine schedules for ex) are to blame for their alienation and desperation. MAHA is a predatory doom spiral producing its own marks

I got blocked by roving swifties name searching her, but I want to reiterate:
1) this is the bar for resistance for pop artists. Their god-king is not close to meeting the moment.
2) her musical output can best be described as "not offensive" (maybe the last album changed that). Not bad. Just... ehh
The White House surrenders at 138 million views. Sabrina wins.

It may sound radical, but if one guy has so much wealth and power that he can use the large newspaper he owns to publicly threaten to ruin a service we all rely on, presumably as a bargaining tactic to get lower rates, we probably need to tax that guy until he can't do that anymore.
Exclusive: Amazon has long been USPS’s top customer, providing over $6 billion in annual revenue in 2025.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

Hakeem Jeffries endorsed this earlier today
Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

A valid point, even if Republicans are making it in bad faith. Obama's drone program normalized murdering alleged "terrorists," including American citizens. Trump is walking the path Obama laid for him.

I was going to ask this: "I wonder if she's been used by the administration and if so what she would do?"
But she has, huh. Imagine being a billionaire, having everything, having an unfaltering fan base, and staying on the sidelines.
Being a billionaire (and even aspiring to be one) is sociopathic.

I could change my mind on this* but on one jokey hand I'm very jealous of anyone who can flee this sinking ship to a country with a future like China or Germany. But a 2nd more serious reason: *some countries'* 2nd citizenship poses a threat to national security/peace.
*open to your rationalizations
Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, just introduced a bill to ban Americans from holding dual citizenship. The bill says that to “preserve the integrity of national citizenship, allegiance to the United States must be undivided.” It’s called the Exclusive Citizenship Act.

LSU is paying its previous football coach over $50 million NOT to coach there while likely guaranteeing Kiffin something approaching double that, all while having an academic hiring freeze and budget cuts across the board. What is the purpose of a university (rhetorical)?
SOURCES: Lane Kiffin is expected to accept LSU's offer to become the Tigers next head coach. Kiffin is set to meet with his Ole Miss team this morning at 9 AM CT. As we reported yesterday morning, LSU has been very confident it was going to land Kiffin. www.nytimes.com/athletic/684...

It is *lunacy* for the ostensibly liberal opposition party to say we shouldn't limit any individual's wealth and power after watching a cadre of fascist billionaires systematically destroy this country. That's probably the single most important thing we *must* do!

There should be a "mute for 8 hours" option when someone you technically like is spamming retweets.
I don't want to unfollow or forget to unmute them, but they're fucking up the tl today. (Especially when it's some hero worship of some lib of the day that said something they won't follow up on)

the "high/low floor, high/low ceiling" thing is a pretty common sports analogy, I don't know if it's a good or bad slogan and I don't trust the people pitching it but I don't think it's as impenetrable to understand as some people are trying to make it sound
