This just isn't true. All of these are from months before the election, plus many, many examples from other outlets. And it wasn't just curiosity! It was accountability, skepticism, informing the public.

The risk of structure fires from space heaters and other heating elements is going to be high in Helene impacted areas. Those in RVs and other portable homes trying to stay warm are at extra risk.
