Someone just figured out that threatening a member of Congress with murder is a prosecutable crime, even under the recent Supreme Court immunity decision.

Ellis repeatedly accuses multiple CBP and ICE officials of lying (under oath) and says their "widespread misrepresentations call into question everything" they "say they are doing in their characterization of what is happening." She broadly discredits their testimony as objectively false.
U.S. District Judge Sara Ellis just handed down the written opinion version of her preliminary injunction order, regarding use of force by federal agents in Chicago.

It's the one already put on hold by the 7th Circuit.

It's 233 pages.

This does feel like a major crossing of the Rubicon – the world's best-funded and in many ways most powerful public health agency is now actively pushing disinformation.

I know there's a *lot* going on to care about at the moment, but this one really is significant, and matters well beyond the US.
The CDC website now disseminates disinformation about vaccines, claiming erroneously that infant vaccines might cause autism, when we know conclusively that they do not. It is difficult to overstate just how dangerous this is. www.cdc.gov/vaccine-safe...

ICYMI: Yesterday, the CDC updated its vaccine safety page to say that vaccines might cause autism (they don’t) and that the science isn’t settled (it is).

For substantiation, the page links out to several studies by anti-vax allies of HHS Robert Kennedy Jr.

I get the feeling that our insistence on not regulating AI is going to be possibly the biggest mistake humanity has ever made. It may end up being the last one, too.
Breaking news: The Trump administration is drafting an executive order that would direct the Justice Department to sue states that pass laws regulating artificial intelligence, according to a copy reviewed by The Post.

The draft order comes after Republicans in Congress failed to pass a federal ban on state AI regulation, as more lawmakers raise concerns about the technology.

@keithlaw.bsky.social, do you know whether the Yankees needed to protect RHP Carlos Lagrange from the Rule 5 draft? He is not on the 40-man roster (www.mlb.com/yankees/rost...). Seems like a big oversight.
