This is correct re: Rwanda, but also fuck off with 'contribute to their communities'. The fundamental right to asylum and protection is what's at stake, not whether someone goes on a beach clean-up in their local area (for pure example's sake).
The Government inherited an asylum system in meltdown, and had managed to at least get cases being processed again while ending the madness of the Rwanda plan. But the policies being announced today undermine all of that, making it harder for refugees to integrate and contribute to their communities

happy to confirm that i've taught at least 3 kids named Jihad, in 3 different European countries.

I know 3 guys named Jihad, including a Catholic. Lebanon has Christians named Jihad. The word is in the Arabic bible.
It does not have the same connotations that the post-9/11 Western world thinks it does. It's just a name.
