an aside, but 'aborting a baby because it's a baby'?! like I wanted a duck actually, or a fully formed teenager.

'can't believe that all I did was publicly support uprooting recognised refugees and their families from their settled, productive lives, and also stealing jewellery from asylum seekers, all for no particular reason, and someone called me a cunt'

I don't know - you're certainly doing your best to prove that ahistorical cunts who can't answer straightforward questions persist through the ages.

refugee status isn't designed to be temporary - that's the legacy of prior refugee movements. what's the public interest in uprooting settled people, again?
November 19, 2025 at 12:24 PM
what is the difference between refugees and refugees, exactly? And why are Ukrainians fundamentally different, as refugees, than refugees from other countries?
November 19, 2025 at 12:23 PM
yes retrospective withdrawal of permanent refugee status for those already granted asylum shld def impact on 'illicit migration'. ffs.

The world has not, in fact, changed very much - wars war, despots rule, and refugees ensue. Also none of these 'solutions' are new.

The appeals backlog has increased significantly, partly because there was no plan in place for dealing with an inevitable consequence of reducing the initial decision backlog. But the quality of asylum decision making has, by the Home Office's own metrics, drastically declined.

Also 'risky' I'm presuming refers to 'as a political strategy for Labour' - an angle so gallingly absent of decency given the substance of the proposals.
November 17, 2025 at 8:56 PM
I mean I haven't listened and fucking won't, but just from the blurb - these plans are dreary, run-of-the-mill reactionary, not radical, and the asylum system is not out of control (in parenthesis or otherwise).
November 17, 2025 at 8:52 PM
yh once again, which aspects of the current Labour proposals would Farage disagree with?

the sky is mainly also blue. hopefully I'm doing this right?!

I am pointing out that those you recommend voting for bear their share of responsibility for the current situation in the US, and that voting for them enabled/enables that. This is the topic of the discussion at hand, regardless of your discomfort.
November 17, 2025 at 3:59 PM
this isn't a strawman btw, and you (I assume) voted for it. Well done bsky.app/profile/wjon...
also previous iterations of your 'left wing' built the architecture that's enabling the current administration's immigration approach.
