School-shooter ideology is correct, as many recent shooters share the same meme induced psychosis as many on the alt-right. It's a way to lash out at society for all their failings and, thanks to various discord groups, be rewarded for such behavior in death.

Considering this is the first mass shooting at an Ivy, I expect the story to last longer than is typical. Two, three weeks.

Mr Beast's whole shtick appears to be throwing money on the ground and watching as the poors desperately fight over it which is bad enough but he also films it and puts it on Youtube where he makes money from ad revenue
One of the most haunting aspects of Squid Game was that the contestants could leave at any point if they wanted to but volunteered to be tortured to death because they were so desperate for money.

Recently I wondered what happened to suburban satires (The Burbs, Edward Scissorshands, Happiness, Pleasantville), but these videos make it clear it's because the suburbs won. A whole generation of 30/40 somethings grew up in the suburbs and will always think of it as home.

Can't help but notice that the media breathlessly reporting on the messages that shooters write on their bullets seems to have been followed by a surge of shooters writing messages on bullets

Everyone's a technocrat when it comes to guns in this country. They'll tell you to use your imagination when it comes to destroying capitalism, reforming congress, or open borders. But when it comes to a rifle we need strict, deadeyed liberalism.

I have no real opinions on gun control, it's a dead issue in my eyes. But liberal/leftist defenses of firearms get my blood twitching. "Norway has guns and things are fine. It's a cultural issue." Well I guess the Nordics have a superior culture, Americans are too violent. Can't handle the steel.

I’m always surprised people are willing to talk about their mass murdering friends.
On one hand, it's true that the guys who've been in the program for years deserve the opportunity. On the other hand, the Olympics approved Flag Football for the NFL players.

Basketball is cheap, only requires 10 people, and can be played inside. This meant it was very attractive to cities and segregated schools, which were disproportionately black for obvious reasons. Which led to black star players that inspired other black kids and so on and so on.
