In hindsight it's such a relief that I steadily and sensibly lost 50lbs around 2020 and it just stayed gone. Got a bit *too* skinny when I was losing my mind in 2024, and should probably some more weight back on for my HRT, but nevertheless

Was already planning on getting the bus home but when shawty earnestly apologised for not having enough room in her car to give me a lift I automatically turned into Toxic Jenny for five seconds

Jane Remover gig tonight and my upper back is still aching from sleeping weird the other night. Can't help but remember that one of the first songs I heard by her back in 2021 featured the line "get off the Internet, bro, you're 27"

A friend who's not on social media anymore was DMing me earlier and mentioned that I'd once helped her through a dark time in her life just by being there, something I'd partly forgotten and partly not understood the full significance of. And now I feel like I deserve to exist?

Skimming the past year of Pitchfork reviews for stuff I've missed is exhausting unhealthy behaviour BUT it paid off tenfold when I found this indie/soul album just now. Best shit I've heard in a *while*, screwing my face up at the sheer size of these tunes open.spotify.com/track/2Xml90...

I ridicule Americans a lot but they've already won because I heard "Oh! Susanna" and "Streets of Laredo" at an impressionable age and now until the day I die I'm going to like music that sounds like something a cowboy would whistle, while I live in fucking Lancashire

Uncanny images from a 19th-century gynaecological text-book, filled with demonstrating figures bizarrely similar to the “Grey Alien” (that wouldn’t hit popular consciousness for another 65 years). More here: http://bit.ly/1OuCXYY

I know English isn't this vore artist's first language but I'm intrigued by the seemingly arbitrary quotation marks here

Scary to realise that the answer to "what should I write songs about" and "what should I do with fiction ideas when I don't want to write a story or draw a comic" might just be attempting a concept album, and there's nothing stopping me from starting anytime

I like manga and sushi and Dark Souls but there is nothing I am more earnestly "Thing, Japan" about than indie rock. They took the lead from what the US and UK were doing in the '80s/'90s but by the '00s they were absolutely dogwalking us and we've only recently been catching up
