32. horror & fantasy writer. reader. art lover. coffee addict. swiftie. chaotic stupid. horror enthusiast. political semi-expert.
I’ve been working on a romance/dirty-with-plot book for the last 2 months and I’ve made some amazing progress. It’s so different from my usual horror writing, but I’m really enjoying myself with this one.

Imagine watching disaster movies like The Day After Tomorrow or 2012 and thinking that the apocalyptic weather scenes were the “unrealistic” part.

Turns out those scenes were almost bang on.

The unrealistic part was the humans working together to overcome the problem & save the world. Sigh.

A gentle reminder that new year resolutions don’t have to be about positive changes. You can commit to be more petty, seek revenge, and disrespect your enemies.

There has never been a time I have not chosen to surround myself with books. Books are a mighty fortress.

They keep out the stupid people.

Write that thing. Pluck it outta your soul with rusty pliers. Hit the keyboard like it owes you money. Write whenever, wherever you can. Tell your story. Make the words dance. Whatever you want—a novel, a short story, an agent, a movie—it all starts with the writing.

can confirm that this is true 😂
if you avoid writing your book for long enough and start another book to procrastinate, then eventually you start procrastinating on the new book, which leads you to finishing the first book
