Great announcement from Labour.

Rail fares frozen for the first time in 30 years.

Hopefully part of a longer term strategy to get more people to travel by train!
Thank you Labour!

For the first time in 30 years, rail fares are to be frozen and will NOT be increased in January.

It will save some people hundreds of pounds a year compared to if prices had risen as usual.

I know some people want fares to go down, but Ice said before having them...

This is bloody shameful. We have historically had lower levels of taxation than these countries and this is the result:
Child Poverty %

Denmark 2.4%
Finland 3.2%
Norway 3.6%
Sweden 3.6%

The UK 32.1%

Just watched this episode of Pete Wicks: Man Made, with Keir Starmer.

In the episode he’s asked some difficult questions, including about his family, but he's quite open and thoughtful throughout.

Fundamentally, he's a good man with deeply ingrained principles, and this is why I'm pleased he's PM.

To all the haters...

...the PM is a good man trying to sort out the mess the Tories left behind.

But he's also gone through the loss of his brother last Christmas.

It's quote something to go through that and keep on running the country.

Badenoch has buried them and this should cover them up for good, hopefully.
Criminal prosecutions MUST follow,if not it gives the green light for anyone to do as they please.

Can you imagine Keir Starmer taking 10 days off to ride a motor bike & walk a dog at the beginning of a Pandemic doing no work. Because I bloody can’t. Not for one second.

Boris Johnson is a disgrace. And Putin loving Farage would be worse. Much worse.

Plus negotiating a significant shift in the relationship will take time and take time to have an impact. Plus I'm not sure the EU is in the mood to do so. 2/2

A brilliant Labour announcement!

We know the difference money for decent playgrounds could make. It’s good for children, families and neighbourhoods.

From Stopsley to Lewsey and all the parks in between, there are playgrounds across Luton that need this funding.

I’m not clicking on x.com so I’m not sure what you mean. The universality of this new breakfast programme is to be commended. Children dining together as equals is a good thing (i.e., poor kids not stigmatised as needy). Wealthier parents might appreciate the time savings. I like it 🙂

So as Nigel Farage has a good buddy & a long time prominent member of his Reform party jailed for taking Russian bribes, the BBCs Chris Mason thinks it is Keir Starmer who needs to be questioned over his leadership credentials.

The thing I despise is inhumanity. It’s not really a political position, it’s an existential one. But if your political party manoeuvres itself into a place where it practises and promotes inhumanity, I will despise you.
