Went on LBC News earlier to discuss the BBC shambles.

I said the BBC has kowtowed to Trump in the US and conservative outlets here - both of which want the Beeb dead.

Two of the most senior people quit over a 10-second clip using Trump’s exact words, albeit put closer together than he’d like.

Crime is falling across London. Between 1 April and 29 October, neighbourhood offences such as theft, robbery and vehicle crime were down nearly 15 per cent compared to the same period last year. Officers are arresting around 1,000 more criminals every month compared to last year…..
More than 140 arrests were made in the West End during a major Met Police operation tackling phone theft, violence against women and girls and anti-social behaviour.

Record funding from City Hall is helping to drive down crime and make London safer for all.

Labour to bring in rewards for tax fraud whistleblowers

This has been very successful in the US & Canada.

Hoping it has similar success in the U.K.!

Share this with every single person who thinks that Rachel Reeves can use only a wealth tax to fill fiscal gaps. The Treasury would be unlikely to see a penny until 2029. In short, we cannot fund November's budget with a wealth tax.

London ranked as #1 city in the world again.
Number 1 for eleven years running. But who’s counting?

Greatest city in the world.

Only become aware of this today.

Has gotten far less media attention than it deserves.

#fleecehold indeed

The leasehold system is long overdue a proper shake up.
Two urgent reforms – Right to Manage and proper regulation – are needed to fix the broken property management sector.
Our @labouruk.bsky.social government is committed to delivering for leaseholders who have suffered with 'fleecehold' for far too long.

Keir Starmer covering a lot of ground here:

- Labour delivering largest increase to workers rights in a generation
- Tories & Reform oppose it
- Turkey Typhoon delivering jobs and investment.
- Reform can’t be trusted on defence

“What you’re trying to do is create fear, distrust, and division”

Lisa Nandy clearly calling out the Reform playbook
October 31, 2025 at 7:49 AM
Perhaps.

Also a lot of shit-stirrers should be challenged from trying to create an issue out of nothing
Today shows how urgent modernisation of Parliamentary procedure is. Farage dominating headlines and social media with a Parliamentary tool that no one understands and has no actual weight but which has clearly frightened people.

Important for this to be said out loud
Lib Dem Leader Ed Davey slams Farage and Reform UK’s links to Russia and calls for an investigation into Russian interference in UK politics:

“The evidence shows Nathan Gill was a close confidant of the current Reform party leader for years.”

Starmer calls Reform UK “Putin-friendly” in response.

Labour taking more steps to improve protection for renters in 1.5 years than the Tories did in 15 years
The Renters' Rights Act entered into law this week.

This legislation will deliver major improvements for renters, including the end of no fault evictions.

The government must enact it ASAP.

Our next steps must focus on affordability and limiting rent increases.

We’ve been here before with the NHS.

Tories starve it.

Labour nourishes it

(and Reform would destroy it)
October 29, 2025 at 7:04 AM
The massive difference between Labour and Reform encapsulated in one short video.

Farage unwilling to even acknowledge Pochin was racist.

Starmer unequivocally condemning it

Here's the Government announcement on the new law, in force from today, which allows councils and mayors in England to take control of bus services

Might sound niche but it could (hopefully positively) affect millions of travellers if local authorities make good use of it

Good to see Reform getting some proper scrutiny.

They’re self interested public schoolboys pretending to stand for the working class.

Didn’t we learn from Boris, Cameron and Osborne!!!

They’re only interested in power

I’m old enough to remember when Farage had a massive problem with “unelected elites”

Now he thinks they should make up half the cabinet.

The man has no principles that he’s not willing to throw away at the drop of a hat!

Very silly, and dangerous, comments.

We have too many UK politicians dancing to Putin’s tune at the moment

Defence spending is vital for the UK (and Ukraine) and should not be presented as taking away from the poor.

We will all be much worse off if we can’t defend ourselves
There is always money for war, never for the poor.

Every penny spent on bombs, tanks and missiles is stolen from our homes, schools and hospitals.

We are not going to take it anymore.

@zarahsultana.bsky.social seeming to suggest

a) it is wrong for U.K. arms companies to supply arms to Ukraine.

b) only U.K. arms companies benefit from a), completely ignoring Ukraine needing arms to defend itself.
We take no joy criticising a young left-wing UK political figure who has often spoken up for workers' rights and progressive causes. But these barely coherent comments from Zarah Sultana on Ukraine sum up much of what is wrong with her wing of the left www.instagram.com/reel/DQT62ys...

Chris Philp hasn’t had a good day.

Started the day unable to say Sarah Pochin was racist on Kuenssberg.

Then he says it was racist, but @lewisgoodall.com hands his arse to him bringing up Honest Bob Jenrick said about not seeing white faces in Birmingham.
Lewis Goodall pressing Chris Philp on the difference between what Sarah Pochin said and what Robert Jenrick said about 'white faces'.

Very strong response from Wes Streeting.

Unambiguously calling out Sarah Pochin’s disgraceful racism.

Unambiguously defending the multiculturalism that the decent majority in the UK support
