Key thing to remember is: They want these fascist fortress cities because *they believe existing nations are going to collapse*

These are escape hatches for a post-democracy world they seek to create. I would argue that they have gotten much farther than they should have. See: DOGE, crypto, etc
The Financial Times finally covers the Network State cult.

Is this tech fascism?

"I mean,we are funding companies that will operate non-democratic cities...and if you're not into that you shouldn't move there," says Peter Thiel protégé Patri Friedman.

Tv talking head democrats love to talk about “how Mikey Sherill won” as a map to the future.

I don’t hear much about how Zoran Mamdani won
Why’s that?

This says more about your right leaning tendencies than about your supposed acumen or prescience.

There have been at least 19 murders in D.C. since Trump deployed the National Guard here in August. One was the murder of a Guard soldier less than a week ago.

Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.
I'm so tired of measles.

I'm also tired of people using needle shots on stories like this.

Show what measles looks like.

No one shld lose sight of the fact that the Guard was only in DC as part of an extended political messaging stunt. The shooter is guilty for the attacks/carnage. Donald Trump is responsible for them. This is the collateral damage of Trump abusing his powers as President.

Alternate take if you are not a Trump toady like Judge Winebox: Performative militarization of a relatively safe city — extremely so around the White House — puts lives unnecessarily at risk. This avoidable tragedy all falls on the administration.

This should be a major scandal. The Blaze falsely reported that a former U.S. Capitol Police officer was the Jan. 6th pipe bomber. But it wasn’t just another miss by conservative media promoting conspiracies.

Someone in US intel - at ODNI - was promoting it:

The question remains, is his damage done at Russia’s behest?
Or is he JUST a moron.
COMMENTARY: Donald Trump has dismantled a global order built over decades — one that brought Americans unprecedented prosperity, security and freedom, writes Ivo Daalder, a former US ambassador to NATO.

Trump is filling his government with Nazis, consolidating authoritarian power, and eroding democracy at every chance.

And yet these 86 House Democrats voted for a right-wing messaging amendment to say that the real authoritarians are the socialists.

Pathetic.

Fact is, Epstein is the *only* issue impervious to Trump/GOP messaging tactics.

That's why Trump & MAGA keep freaking out—they literally don't know what to do when lying, misdirection, and demagoguery don't work. So they flail around, making it worse.

Dropping it would be political malpractice.
The usual suspects are telling Dems that Epstein won’t win elections, get back to “affordability” and I think my head might explode. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...

Trump's illegal murders in the Caribbean just got worse. An internal DOJ memo on the bombings says the victims are waging war on the US, but per NYT, it extensively cites the WH's *own claims* to this effect as evidence!

It gets even darker than that. 1/

This is could well be a historic midterm for Democrats.

Don’t waste it on centrists who won’t come through when it matters. Run vocal progressives.

You won’t end Trumpism without anti-corruption crusaders and warriors for social and economic justice who believe in taxes & big, universal programs.
Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵
