It kinda icks me out a bit when people in queer and adjacent spaces treat dudes in a similar way to how the typical cis het dude will treat sexually appealing women; and I don't know if they realize what they're doing and think it's transgressive (It's not) or if they don't. Either way, cut it out.

FYI, if you make less than 67K USD a year or are disabled, you can get your taxes done for free by VITA volunteers. The IRS works with them to ensure they know what they're doing. You can find your nearest one here:

TurboTax is about to be integrated into ChatGPT, where customers will be guided through tasks tied to their tax filings or financial profile by the AI chatbot.

TurboTax owner Intuit is also paying OpenAI more than $100 million a year to power AI agents.

I mean I'm absolutely certain whatever they do release is going to be redacted to hell and contain none of what we want

but no, the reason this went the way it did is that nobody wanted to be on the record voting against releasing the files once it actually got to the floor so they gave up
Am I too cynical for thinking a 427 to 1 vote just means trump has made it very clear to the GOP they have found a way to not have to release shit no matter how the senate votes

So after all the lies and defense the GOP has been running to stall or avoid having to vote for this, it now suddenly passes in an almost unanimous vote?

I smell bullshit. Not sure what their next play is, but the Republicans are up to something. Bet on that

the best way to get out of an extrinsic game that you find yourself still playing despite disliking is to just force yourself to miss an event in-game. if you're the completionist type it's an extremely fast way to sever yourself from it

The fact that paypros are actually factually explicitly out for Ana for her activism is *INSANE*

Institutions that hold up the entire payment system shouldn't have the power to do this
Spoke to a second source familiar with what’s going on with paypro censorship toward me. It seems I’ve been blacklisted among paypros as a creator, particularly for mommy domme content. This could escalate into debanking, I learned

Imma be real, the only things I’ve been excited for with the Game Awards for the past like 3-4 years is anything related to cool new indie game announcements (and a few occasional left-field revivals).

I can do without seeing those things (or the awards altogether) live, and I think y’all can too.

Remember when some of y'all got real mad at me for doing some back-of-the-napkin math about how much water "AI" likely uses, in light of the fact that they refuse to release their actual numbers?

Anyway.
Google’s emissions are up 48% in 5 years. Microsoft’s are up 30% since 2020. Those soaring figures are being driven by mass investments in data centers to power AI tools.

Generative AI is a climate disaster and data center expansion must be stopped.

I long for a culture that allows more room for craft and care, where you don't have to race to finish. Where you go off on tangents and explore dead ends. Where ink and paint are allowed time to dry.

Where deadlines allow for reasonable flex, and projects aren't judged on profitability comparisons.
