The extremely easy capture of tech leaders, platforms, and initiatives by fascists interested in shutting knowledge production down should force us to rethink digitization as a sufficient or secure strategy for maintaining access to knowledge.

a) Not everything has been digitized

In the DC hierarchy, lobbyists (paid activists, usually for big money) are treated as honest brokers but "activists" are not somehow (dogooder lobbyists are often referred to as activists instead of lobbyists, it is funny!)
We should categorically reject and contest the assertion or implication that being an "activist" in some way diminishes/qualifies a person's perspective or positions; it's part of an insidious and reactionary project to make "passive apolitical consumer" the only correct mode of citizenship
