I also find some folks complaining about the presence of Mexican flags at the LA protests comical when the territory we now call California was part of Mexico. I guess we have settler colonialism to thank for some Americans failing to acknowledge this part of history

Minnesota has opened four rail lines in the last two decades. Three of them quickly blew past their ridership expectations and have been nationally recognized as huge successes. I think 3/4 is a good success rate!

5 years since the start of the pandemic and it is frustrating that we still need to keep repeating: vaccines, masks, tests, and cleaning the air all play roles in reducing transmission.
