This ran on probably the worst day possible to gain any kind of news attention, but I asked media monitors and rights groups about journalists being killed in Gaza.

Also important to remember the Midwest's history of racial violence. Sundown Towns (all-white municipalities where "colored people" passing through had to leave by sundown) were particularly prevalent in the Midwest.
