Fuck it. I’m just going to take the videos & graphics that show what our politicians say and explain how id use them with elementary kids to teach media literacy, emotional literacy, and critical thinking. Use it as you like — or not.

One girl said “it doesn’t matter if you ban a book because everyone can find that information online” and then I blew their minds by talking about how your search history can be monitored and sold to the government without your permission, but your library borrowing history requires a warrant.

This is what happens when people who work in the government only have hatred as their policy.
Official U.S. Government account refers to its citizens as "imbecilic morons".

As an elected official if you don’t understand that affordability includes everything that Americans need to pay for, go talk to everyday Americans. Affordability is the same damn thing as housing, insurance, and food prices. Not to mention the ability to buy your children things and experiences.

People, please stop platforming Kelley (sp?). She’s been insidious for quite some time, has gotten worse to boost her podcast rankings. Don’t participate.

If you were concerned about teachers “grooming” kids by acknowledging the existence of LGBTQ people, but you’re fine with the GOP hiding the Epstein Files and a president whose name is all over them, you’ve acknowledged what the rest of us have always known….

It was never about protecting. kids.

Good grief. Everything I hear and see reported today is stupider than the last.

Every decade, we hear "the kids can't read or write!"

Interventions that don't work are proposed. Those that do work are ignored: reducing class sizes, making kids & families feel safe at school and welcome, becoming a community resource.

When their expensive reform fails, they yell at us again.

Great thread
I know this is hard for a lot of politicians and pundits to understand since so many of them are senior citizens, but we have three whole generations of American voters (X, Millennial, Z) who do not give a damn about Bill Clinton. He has no stans out here.

Black voters are united. We consistently mobilize and get out the vote.

It makes these people crashing out in our comments trying to tell us what to do sound stupid.

Work on your own demographic that can’t unite.

We did the work, you do yours.

This would be a good small group analysis project to conduct in a critical literacy or media literacy class.
Now on MSNBC: Epstein emails.
Now on CNN: Epstein emails.
Now on Fox: It's Pete Buttigieg's fault that air travel sucks.

CSPAN is riveting right now as the house discusses the updated CR. They are all — both Ds and Rs — ticked off about the provision that was snuck in for senators to sue the DOJ. If they don’t find a way to revoke that before or after this vote, it could cost taxpayers MILLIONS per senators.

So… the Republican party’s line about Americans is that they are stupid, lazy, entitled, delusional, and unskilled. Got it. FWIW all of that came from the White House in the last 48 hours.

Just wondering if the Supreme Court understands that their job is to determine what is and is not unconstitutional. Not what they think and hope will happen.

This is quite the read. I have my own interpretations on the arguments, and the judge.
I'm listening in to the hearing on the Motion for TRO in the Boston SNAP case. We're waiting for Judge Talwani to take the bench.

I'll try to do the Comey hearing at 4:00 ET if possible, but guessing these two will overlap.

Without arguing the power dynamics happening right now, I really want to just reemphasize this point.

Do not let this get lost tonight/tomorrow in the inevitable media coverage to follow. It is the fault of the GOP.
The Democrats are not at fault for anything going badly in your life right now.
