Snippets that omit context aren't actual quotes. Kirk never said gays should be stoned, he never said he didn't want to fly with a black pilot. Yet these are viral. There is a TON of objectionable stuff he actually SAID to damn him for, without my profession sullying itself with sloppiness.
When people supply ACTUAL QUOTES of what Kirk said, that's not "gross distortion".
