I like better IPEDS data, but ED is already behind schedule on reporting data and has laid off most relevant employees and contractors. So I'm not sure how this will work.

The last two people Trump got fired:
1. Stephen Colbert, for telling the truth about him.
2. Dr. Erika McEntarfer, for telling the truth about his horrible job statistics

They’ve been coming for the data for quite some time. Label this one as: not all that shocking, at least not anymore, and definitely not surprising.
For months, people have been asking me whether I still trusted gov’t data. My answer was always the same: The stats agencies faced longstanding challenges, some of which Trump was making worse. But there was no sign of political meddling.
I can’t say that anymore.

Yesterday we posted about the Trump administration shutting down the LGBTQ+ youth crisis line, the “press 3” option on 988 is officially gone. The Trevor Project is stepping up to help fill the gap, and they could really use some support right now. If you’re able, please consider donating! 🏳️🌈 💛

The nation's fifth most populous county, San Diego, just chose its political future today—and appears to have chosen to have a Democratic local government—and it's crickets everywhere. Quite the eye-popping example of the NY/East-Coast-bias of how elections get covered.

Assuming this post today is aimed at us. The Trump admin changed the rules to make it easier to replace career federal employees with political loyalists. If you’re not alarmed by Trump’s post, you should be. This isn’t about policy it’s about control. It’s “do as I say, or you’re replaced.”
