That meeting happened in Nov. The CEO didn’t show - sent representatives instead. No apology was issued.

Only way to remove a customs border is to join/agree a customs union with the other. & to bilaterally remove a regulatory border is to join/agree a single market of regs/FoM with the other.

Brexit = erecting pointless and costly barriers to trade with our nearest and largest partner, to enable divergence which was mostly not wanted and would mostly cause further frictions and not benefit us, given the EU's status as a local regulatory superpower.
