I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

The BBC removed a line about Trump being the most openly corrupt president in American history...from a lecture about the cowardice of today's elites.
I wonder if the BBC has heard of the Streisand Effect

What’s infuriating to me as someone who has identified as a Democrat literally longer than Spanberger has been alive is that many of the policies Mamdani supports would have comfortably fit within the Democratic Party tent before Reaganism.

Neoliberalism should NOT be the default for Democrats.
Abigail Spanberger takes a swipe at Mamdani, saying "maybe he should be a Democrat" and that his campaign promises are dishonest.

“Calvinball famously has only one rule: “There are no fixed rules.” Here, Jackson wrote the Court seems to have two: “That one, and this Administration always wins.”“

Wow. Again, this should be headline news. The Supreme Court doesn’t believe in its own legitimacy any longer due to republican bias.

Some view it as hyperbole; others don't even know what the words mean.

But it's all textbook. Textbook history, textbook political science, textbook psychology, textbook social psychology. Elementary stuff, not obscure. And it's happening in real time, right before our eyes.

I still think the rumors that Epstein was a Mossad asset being used to ensnare prominent Americans for black mail material to benefit Israel have never been more salient. Look who on the Dem side is rushing to agree with Trump...

The moderates that are in control of party messaging will take any opportunity to both ignore the left and blame it for their losses. Also importantly they’ll take any opportunity to just be lazy and not bother sticking up for anyone they see as insignificant donor or voting blocks.

Why is Democratic establishment putting all their support behind Cuomo? That's something that should deeply bother you. I also have no loyalty to any politician or political party. They are tools, a means to an end, and if they aren't helping people, they should be replaced by those who do.
I get it that you guys despise us Democrats, but can you provide a list of the progress you unaffiliated leftists have accomplished to support that assertion about us by providing examples of why you should be listened to?

Agree—and keep in mind that FDR was called a “communist” by many on the right while he was in office.
i think everyone on the left should more or less aggressively grab on to the legacy of FDR's war liberalism and shove it down the throat of every fascist until they cannot breath

There is already a nuclear-armed country in the Middle East that does not allow international inspectors despite having nukes for decades - and it’s not Iran.

Israel is also one of a handful of countries to have never signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

It appears that we are actively and directly involved in a major conflict between Israel and Iran which is rapidly escalating and the only thing we have heard from the admin is an obviously false denial from the Sec of State and a Truth Social post from the president about peace talks.

Netanyahu's attack on Iran is about sparking regime change with just enough strikes on nuclear facilities to frame it as an act of preemptive self-defense. I doubt this will turn out well. My latest in @ForeignPolicy.

Nuclear Claims Are a Smoke Screen for Hopes of Toppling Iran

Congress does not function, it's the root cause of much that is wrong with our politics, and that is partly because of poor design but also because members have been shirking responsibility for decades now
The pro-crypto GENIUS Act was tied up thanks to the return of traditional Senate legislating. Then, senators "came to the realization that they didn’t actually want to be lawmakers if it meant that a source of future campaign donations might get mad at them." prospect.org/politics/202...
Here Lies Regular Order (2025-2025)
As soon as Senators tried to do their jobs to propose amendments to legislation, their colleagues didn’t like it. So that’s the end of amendments.

Footage I shot on May 20, showing the infamous Russian #Kosmos 2553 satellite, claimed by the USA to be a bus hardware test for a 'nuclear space weapon' (a claim I have doubts about). As can be seen, it shows a brightness variation due to tumbling (attitude control loss).

PS to the Trump administration's great patriotic war on girls' dolls and pencils: notice how "unnecessary foreign luxuries" are female-coded. An outboard motor is crammed with Chinese components, but try to imagine Trump asking, "Do Americans really need to own personal boats?"

Trump said thousands of times that Russia never would have attacked Ukraine if he was president.

He said Hamas would’ve never attacked Israel if he was president.

Said he would end both in 24 hours.

Wars continue in both places, and India & Pakistan are now at war.
