@nature.com I love this article - but WHY are the only share options to X and Facebook when the whole point of the article is that science-based posts get more shares here?

Overheard the earthling and her friends talking about "vintage websites," so I asked about it. "Oh, you know, the ones it's easier to trust. Like if they're copyright 2012 or they still have that 2005-looking design."

We've taught the youth to distrust up-to-date information. Great work, AI.

I went from finishing my PhD, straight to the private sector and have thoroughly enjoyed my job for the last 19 years. There are so many opportunities outside academia, but I agree, non-academic #careers are not really discussed inside of academia. #AcademicSky 🧪

We are seeing an increasing number of satellite launches where the owner, and even the owner's country, is not announced, contrary to the spirit (and arguably letter) of UN Res 1721B.

Wow! I’ve never seen anything like this 😱

This CCTV footage captures the powerful M7.7 earthquake that struck Myanmar in March. You can clearly see the dramatic shift in the ground.

You need to watch it a few times to take everything in. Don't be distracted by the gate. Absolutely surreal.

How do past floods shape future preparedness? While flood-affected households expect future impacts, they don’t always see them as more severe. The key to better adaptation? Boosting self-efficacy and social support, not just risk awareness. Learn more from Dominic Sett (PICO4.6, Fri, 8:53). #EGU25
