This is just so … sad. Everything about this is sad. I know there’s a societal isolation problem and now people are being tricked into thinking the theft machine is a replacement for human interaction. It’s all goddamn sad.

Do you have questions about this "dire wolf" "de-extinction"? I am probably going to make a video tomorrow.

(Note: They are not dire wolves, and it is not a de-extinction)

In my career, I have had so many stories that I was sure would be The One. So many of them broke my heart by never making it.

Learn from my mistake: no story is The One. You are The One. You have so many stories inside of you. Once you submit, just start writing the next. There will be surprises.
So....you got a rejection. It was *thee* story. The one you worked your ass off to perfect. The one your CPs swooned over. Fit the theme perfectly. No first page typos (like that one time).

And it wasn't accepted. Gut punch, right? Here's some Unc Editor perspective to maybe, hopefully, help/+

One of the least discussed reasons that making art is a political act of resistance is that when make art, our mental & spiritual energy is used in the ways WE wish. Any creative act/thought, however small or hidden, is resistance against a system that wants people's thoughts & souls for itself.

Tech's biggest innovations these days are just new ways to waste everyone's time.
New from 404 Media: Low quality books that appear to be AI generated are making their way into public libraries, forcing librarians to sort through a functionally infinite number of books to determine what is written by humans and what is generated by AI.
