Body cameras are controlled by the cops and as such are worthless to the citizenry. Cops choose when to turn them off; they choose when to share the video; they choose when to surveil people.
Seems painfully obvious Trump will ignore all of these. #AbolishICE

Also— the murders of Renee Good & Alex Pretti were on camera. Yes body cameras are good but that has not stopped them.

Yes. And scrupulously enforce the existing law.
Minnesota should probably pass a law making it illegal to rent a car with any window tint?

That cannot be said enough --

The problem is the Republican Party; it's not "polarization."
This is why I have real fucking problem with blithe criticisms of "polarization" or "congressional dysfunction." We have a Republican member blaming his colleague for being attacked.

The problem isn't polarization or dysfunction. It's the Republican Party.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Who murdered Alex Pretti??
January 28, 2026 at 4:52 PM
This is murder.

Every one of those thugs should be prosecuted and convicted for murder.

Just like the car driver is held accountable and gets prosecuted when a bank robbery goes bad.

This homicidal violence cannot be allowed to stand in America.
New POV released inside the car during the killing of Alex Pretti.

Slight emendation:

Republicans won the election on hatred, violent racism and class war.

Go on . . .
Republicans won the election on fears of violent crime and border security.

Now, as one GOP aide told our Dasha Burns: “It’s Americans getting killed by the very people they thought would protect them.”

Did Trump’s 2024 re-election make it okay to be openly prejudiced? New work from @chriscrandall.bsky.social suggests it did. The more negatively Trump spoke about a group, the more okay it became to express prejudice (and the more prejudiced people were) towards that group after the election.
