Oh my GOD I just beat Outer Wilds and holy shit.

What an ending.

One of the best games I've ever played. One of those times a game rises above being just a game and becomes a story worth remembering.

I think it's great to have nuanced, good faith disagreements, in an appropriate time and place!

but only if that's what's *actually* going on, rather than trying to pull everyone towards the center while saying "can't we all just get along guys? whys everyone so maaad cmon guuuys"

i'm kindof suprised generators aren't brought up when discussing drag&drop callbacks.

It's definitely less traditional compared to an "active object" design pattern. but having a global `.drag_handler` attribute of type Generator|None, & using `.send` for subsequent motion events feels elegant imo.

Only 1 person in the whole study went from identifying as trans to not identifying as trans. The 1/5 number came from youth going between the binary and non-binary spectrum.

This headline and post are misleading on purpose to fit the economist's editorial bent on the political issue.
A recent study found that children who transitioned young retained stable gender identities over time. But the fact that nearly a fifth of those in the group did not ought to give advocates of irreversible medical interventions pause
How stable are the gender identities of younger children?
A study finds that one in five who switch gender change their mind

trump’s numbers are tanking and there is a palpable desire in the electorate for a real alternative and yet the only money in democratic politics is for doing starmerism

I wrote a column responding to Ezra Klein’s eulogy for Charlie Kirk, and argued that democracy depends not just on civil disagreement, but on the civic equality that Kirk passionately opposed.

institutions following the public instead of the science is incredibly frustrating.

i hope that newsom doesn't do a 180 and signal allegiance to the anti-trans zeitgeist by banning youth GAC.
On a recent podcast Gavin Newsom tells Shawn Ryan how the Trans sports issue opened the door for him to change his mind on GAC for Trans Youth.

As someone who adored him since 2004 and voted for him 5 times, I can't wait for him to leave office.

There is no way I will be voting for him a 6th time.

oh no! trump's memory faculties are decaying. i hope he gets better.

who would have thought that a 79 year-old would been a risky replacement for an 82 year-old?
This is amazing. Yesterday Trump claimed he talked to his uncle about how brilliant the Unabomber was when the Unabomber was a student of his at MIT.

The Unabomber never went to MIT, he was identified in 1996, and his uncle died in 1985.
you genuinely have to admire his brain. getting hammered 24/7 on Epstein? better fabricate a personal link to the Unabomber, specifically mentioning one of the prestigious universities where Epstein peddled his influence
