a horziontal tricolor looks like it should be hanging on your wall. a vertical tricolor looks like you should be waving it on top of the barricades. i know which energy i'd want from my pride flag.
here is my hottest piece of LGBTQIA+ discourse:

we should be doing vertical tricolors for the pride flags not horizontal ones. vertical tricolors are better.

thinking about how multiple recent video games (TotK, BG3) involve journeying through a horrible chamber of sinew to reach a boss fight & how that's supposed to gross you out/make you realize how depraved the boss is, but for miss frizzle that's just tuesday & she has a busload of children with her

my favorite example of this with my dog is the time her ball got stuck underneath the bar cart next to the door to the backyard. she rang the potty bells on the door, knowing that would get a human to get up and come to the door, but then backed up when we opened it and went over to nose at the cart
i always knew animals could not talk but it was not until i began living with a cat that i grasped that they still try to explain things

I have a terrible sense of direction and never know the cardinal directions, nor do i know relative directions between multiple places I go all the time. this is bc my only way to navigate is by memorizing routes (turn right from the house, drive until I go over the bridge, then turn left).
poll the audience:

do you have an internal compass or sense of direction? do you generally know where you are in relation to the cardinal directions? outside? inside?
