My unpopular opinion is that we don't really know any more about foreign accounts manipulating U.S. politics on Twitter than we did before this update. There's no way of knowing who specifically used a VPN and who didn't. It's obvious that this is a problem but we don't have better data on it now.

Jefferson was a massive piece of shit who had every opportunity to free the slaves in his possession and chose not to, even after his death. He was not progressive on race. C-level execs have been working from home since the fucking 90s. As soon as the general labor force starts doing it, oh no it’s a doomsday portent of the coming apocalypse. The only difference between us and the c-suite is our jobs are real and actually matter
also if your job can be done remotely, be ready for it to be done in India or Philippines for pennies on the dollar. institutions, for profit or nonprofits, in their fiduciary duty will and should offshore as many jobs as they can while not harming the actual end product
