Been seeing a lot of this genre of critique and I would like to point out that we’re still assuming his approval matters but maybe this is actually an indication that our say in any of this doesn’t actually matter anymore (and honestly maybe never did)

The greatest gift a graduate degree gave me is that sitting in front of a blank page, I can ALWAYS start writing, even if it’s absolute garbage, because I know that this is not even close to the last time I’m gonna look at it. What a freedom to know you’ve got Future You as an editor.

This gave me great joy, like seeing DJ Pauly D live in person, when my friend remarked that he just seemed so happy to be there. May we all love it every time.
