Welcome to me! I write twisted, emotional genre stories, from meticulously researched folk horror to silly bullshit comedy. Writer/co-writer of two produced features and many shorts. Love me some selfless collaboration ... and some egotistical, award-winning pitching. Plus dogs.

This show is beyond sublime. If it wasn't for Chernobyl it would still be - IMO - the best show ever made.
Great news - one of the best mini-series ever with a dazzling & eccentric screenplay by Troy Kennedy Martin & superb direction by Martin Campbell is back on iplayer.
If you haven’t seen it then you’re in for a real treat.
Come for Bob Peck, stay for Joe Don Baker.

Alan Garner is 91 today. A brilliant and unique author. His books have inspired and enchanted me since I read The Weirdstone of Brisingamen at the age of 11. Here is my treasured copy of Red Shift. The Le Guin quote on the cover is wholly accurate.

In Aberystwyth there is a tradition that you kick the railings at either end of the promenade. Example attached. We were there this morning but I couldn't get it right.

Someone VERY close to me still dislikes The Martian because it's 100% human.
I like my movies to be honest like with the Vampire in Brooklyn, which told the story of a Vampire. In Brooklyn.
Axel Foley was not, in fact a Beverly Hills Cop. He was a sworn officer of the Detroit Police Department. But I surrendered myself over to ~movie magic.

I think, in light of all the rotten people out there spreading terf nonsense, today would be a good day to support trans creators.

Trans folk, please add your links to this thread for books or crafts or whatever you do!

Check out all the Welsh horror movies that @abertoirfest.bsky.social has championed over the years.
It's such an awesome festival - million percent recommend for horror fans and film nerds, and in one of the coolest towns on the planet IMHO.

Bagging potatoes for the corner shop. I was nine, and I got 65p an hour.
Paper Boy for the Tucson Citizen. I made between $2-$3 a house a month and had about 50 houses on my route. Of course every penny went to comic books, RPGs, and NES games.

This week, I’m sharing how to find a lost film that you can adapt into a screenplay. Yes, I know the word “lost” implies that it’s basically dust and completely unfindable. However, “lost” is a bit of a misnomer. #scriptsky

More than a week into using Tidal instead of Spotify and it's just better in every way, to me

I encourage you to ditch Roganville and join me in the land of hi-fi and music videos:

tidal.com/transfer-music
I ditched Spotify a few days ago and switched to Tidal and HOLY SHIT it is so much better

I was able to transfer all my data/playlists from Spotify and now I have everything in higher sound quality

BUT the real gains are

1) Artists with integrity have way bigger catalogs on Tidal

2) MUSIC VIDEOS
