UK real GDP increased by 0.1% in Quarter 4 2025.

Can't grow economy when 1% has more wealth than 70% of the population combined.

7.3m await NHS hospital appointments in England.

24m live below minimum living standards.

Redistribution and investment in public services needed, not neoliberalism.

Gareth Thomas was born on this day in 1945. Famed for his performance as Rog Blake, he was a versatile actor in many roles. I particularly recommend his reading of Hothouse by Brian Aldiss. It sometimes turns up on Radio4extra.

You know you’re part of the village when people randomly turn up on your doorstep at 9pm with a newt they found in their kitchen. 🦎 It now has a new home at the bottom of our garden, next to a pile of bricks and a small pond #newts #villagelife
