Now that I’ve worked out how to pin a post… No DMs unless I know you well/frequently interact with you, or it’s a genuine writing/editing opportunity. I’m autistic and find small talk scary IRL so won’t do it here. Thank you for respecting my wishes.

I wrote this poem the day after Renee Good was murdered - it’s about how the media and politicians immediately dehumanised her. I have had a few people ask “who wrote it?” So I am putting it up again - written in anger

I'm collecting children's folklore for a forthcoming podcast theme - what do you remember believing as a kid, or what games did you play? And what do YOUR kids do for rites, games, and stories they pass on? Let me know! forms.gle/D8mLW7q2um5Z...

I haven’t seen Gertrude O’ The Lamp (my only current bedroom spider) for a couple of days. Hoping she’ll at least pop her legs out from beside the bulb where she hides tomorrow. 🕷️
Goodnight from No. 45 Ambler Street, where the spider in the spare room is weaving omens into its web without much hope of valid interpretation. Goodnight from Jerry Reston, feeling uneasy having picked up a hitchhiker with hands that appear to be made of bronze. Goodnight from Hookland.

With your newfound authority, you can show those snobs from Lower Aynesmore just what a properly orchestrated floral arrangement looks like!In Village Green you are rival gardeners, tasked by your respective communities with arranging flowers, planting trees, commissioning statues, and building ponds. You must place each element carefully--time is tight and the stakes couldn't be higher! Split your days between acquiring and installing new features for your green and nominating it for one of the competition's many awards. Will your village green become the local laughing stock, or make the neighbouring villages green with envy?Players: 1-5Playing Time: 30 minutesAges: 14+Contents: 96 cards Review “I think it's a great game. It is, I think, one of the very best Peer Sylvester designs I've played!” ―Zee Garcia, The Dice Tower“If this theme appeals to you, if this art appeals to you, you absolutely should take a look at Village Green.” ―Mike DiLisio, The Dice Tower“The ideal holiday game for sunny days where one another's company is all you need” ―Christopher John Eggett, Tabletop Gaming Magazine“A charming, lovely little puzzly card game” ―Richard Ham, RahdoRunsThrough“I think Village Green is the best game I've played all year [...] It's a box of knotty decisions, exquisite compromises and knowing when to pivot in order to maximise your points based on how the cards are falling at that time.” ―Andrew Holmes, Meeple Mountain

Best surmounted testicle I’ve ever seen.
Made a little felt Triffid, based on the Penguin paperback cover.
In retrospect I wish I hadn’t chosen the most nutsack colour to sew what was already quite a bollockular form but sometimes I quite enjoy having created myself a bit of an obstacle to deal with, or in this case, a testicle to surmount

Thomas was raised by books in much the same way that Tarzan was raised by apes but with much less dramatic results. He got his first professional illustration gig when he was thirteen and has been working in the field since then. (Taking time out for meals and such.)

Brick dick made me do an actual lol. It’s definitely a name my teenaged best friend and I would have adopted.
Kids in the village who watch Doctor Who call it the 'dark TARDIS'. Older, cooler kids who meet there for a snog or crafty fag call it the 'brick dick'. There's never been a time I can remember when it wasn't a dare to put your ear to the door to hear the ghosts in the reservoir below. – Jo Ash #VOH
