🧵 We make a twice yearly British horror zine and our next edition is the Beltane 2026 issue. General submissions will open after Christmas, but we are starting this thread now to connect with illustrators, ideally UK based, who might want to be part of it.

Got to love Scars of Dracula (Ward Baker, 1970). Terrifically bad in places and yet so much fun

Highlight was Dennis Waterman barging the door down and smashing Jenny Henley’s bowl of poisoned broth to pieces by throwing a rock at it rather than just taking it out of her hands 🤣
The amply bosomed Jenny Hanley Dennis Waterman clinging precariously to a rope as he lowers himself down the castle into Dracula’s bed chamber, a massive great drop below him. Situation is made considerably worse by his realisation that a man with an enormous monobrow is slicing the rope with a knife. Oh fuck, indeed Paul hanging from a spike in Dracula’s chamber Big Chris looking to let fly with a spike, little knowing that… no, I won’t spoil it for you
