Gentle walk over the hill and around the estate today. I was delighted to see Halloween houses outnumbering fashy flag houses, though I only remembered to photograph this one. Tempted to write a story called "The Verge has Eyes". 👀💀🎃🧙🕷️

We got bugger all sleep last night with the wind shaking the scaffolding, so today involves a lot of snuggle time. At least he got me up in time to go and collect my prescription (just three days late 🙄).

Here’s Magnus living life on the edge. Just back from a 2.5 hour walk - his choice, he had to be persuaded to turn around. And he still has energy to play. I, meanwhile, am knackered.

So it's finally my writing retreat. Me and he, in a Hove flat, for just over a fortnight. First to polish off the rewrite of "Loch Dorcha", then to really crack on with the edits of my novel "The Devil's Dastard". #AmWriting #AmCurrentlyDrinkingButTheDogMadeMeDoIt
