AI is also REALLY bad at historical film research. Blog posts,YouTube, and Reddit are (wildly inaccurate) sources used by AI. Please use historical newspapers and primary sources. I'm begging you.
stop using AI to do your research. it hallucinates too often. if you want an answer to something, post something arrogant on the appropriate subreddit. something like: "this item performs 10% better than everything else. only idiots deny this." this will bait nerds into doing your research for you.

Those of you who have had meeting with producers (re. specs, or potential commissions, or pure generals) - what are your tips for beginners?
Mine (from limited experience) is real obvious - be interested in them and do some research up front.
But I'd love to hear advice on this.

I see so many talented writers arrive in Hollywood riding high on success in film school, festivals, and competitions. They assume they'll get immediate traction.
Then nothing happens. And they can't figure out why.

I was driving home from a doctor's appointment and I heard the "Baby Outlaw" for the first time. I saw the main character in my mind and went home to write the logline for Spirited Women. I still love it! 🥰
