The Trump administration is abusing the military justice system to target its political opponents. A despicable new low for a group that strives everyday to find the moral bottom.

The hilarious thing about the unsuccessful air campaign against the Houthi rebels is that it was in support of US Navy ships that kept getting shot at, thus making a huge blow to the egos of both air and naval fetishists.

Land domain best domain.
Also did we not have months of airstrikes in Yemen across multiple administrations trying to coerce the Houthis a year ago so why would this work out differently?

Crow: "It's so telling that when members of Congress simply remind service members of the Constitution and their duty to obey the law that he cannot handle that and resorts to threats of violence and execution. That tells you everything you need to know about Trump's respect for the Constitution"

This is a story about how America’s world-leading cancer and dementia research system was destroyed by frauds and naifs who broke the law.

There must be consequences.
Some incredible details in this piece
*one DOGE faction was planning the future of the US government at a venture capital firm
*illegally communicating on Signal to avoid transparency laws was deeply embedded into organizational culture to be taken for granted

Trump schmoozing up Mamdani makes a lot more sense when you reframe it as "old guy from Queens really likes this young guy from Queens"

I don't think Mamdani is gonna go on a Fetterman arc.

It's neither, actually
I feel like left/liberal discourse in both the UK and US (and presumably many other countries) would be healthier if more people realised “I will not vote for this party out of principle, but it would be better if they won” is an entirely coherent, and respectable, position

I hate Instagram's feed algorithm. Literally is like:

"Here's a company you follow, here's an ad, here's a high school classmate's post from last fiscal year, now here's your wife, and now another ad-"

Guys idk if we're gonna make it to midterms if this kind of open statements took 10 exact months to get to.

I know we're all mad that Trump was having a ball chumming it up with the Saudi crown prince, but I'm gonna be that guy and remind everyone that the Biden Administration gave him immunity in 2022 so like we're never going to do anything about Khashoggi's assassination and dismemberment.

Y'all remember when the Dems had a majority in the Senate during the Biden admin and got fucked over by Sinema and Manchin?

Same shit, different day. The Dems will ALWAYS clutch defeat from the jaws of victory. The right number of people will ALWAYS be there to make sure progress fails.

Fuck em.

I’ve said it before, but the Democratic party is an alternative party not an opposition party and there’s a big difference.

The opposite of bad is good.

The alternative to bad is weak, disappointing, indifferent, mediocre, etc.

Sanders: Let’s be clear… If this vote succeeds, over 20 million Americans are going to see at least a doubling in their premiums… if resolution is passed tonight, we are on a path way to throw 15 million Americans off of medicaid and the affordable care act, 15 million.

I've been tightening my belt for over 5 weeks so these spineless bastards can stand for something for once. What they've been holding out for, and that I've supported for over 5 weeks, is a matter of literal life and death: health care for millions of Americans.

This failure is a betrayal.
My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.
