Look at this baby creature in my lap. It was six years ago that we brought her home from the shelter and she took over my life. 🤍 HUGE thank you to @melissainglover.bsky.social who is the person who originally trapped Francie and got her neutered and ready for adoption!

My column for Pittsburgh Baseball Now on how the Pirates have now become a laughingstock in the eyes of other MLB teams.
Perrotto: Pirates Cross Threshold to Laughingstocks
PITTSBURGH — The Hall of Fame baseball writer John Lowe taught me a valuable lesson many years ago. “You learn more about the team you cover in the other clubhouse than in your team’s clubhouse,” said...

☹️ Pepper got returned to the shelter. When he first came in last year he was the scrungliest stray but so sweet. He looked like he was 3x his actual age. He got adopted a couple months ago and I don’t know why he was returned but he is just the nicest gentleman. www.hsccvt.org/Cats#sl_embe...

This is my boy cat, Ohtani. He is named after the pitcher on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ohtani is going to be 8 months old in 8 days and he is more than 10 pounds. So, like Shohei, he is an unusually big guy. I got him from the Stray Cat Alliance. He’s the sweetest huge kitten ever.

It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.

Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

Forget “Enter the Sandman” or Timmy Trumpet.

The coolest closer entrance in MLB history is “The Rubberband Man” by The Spinners for #Pittsburgh #Pirates closer Kent Tekulve. 😎

There are a lot of famous Canadians living in the United States. I’ve been wondering when they would start speaking up in defence of Canada. We know it’s a hard thing to do, but they know it’s the right thing to do. I hope Mike Myers is the beginning of a tidal wave.

Are you a Myers or a Gretzky?

Bill “Spaceman” Lee was a pitcher for the Red Sox in the 70’s and quite the character. He was asked once if there should be mandatory drug testing, his response was “I’ve tried just about all of them, but wouldn’t want to make it mandatory”. A good man he’s always fought for human rights.

Maybe I'll root for the Pirates or White Sox in the next 4 years. At least I don't have to worry about them winning it all and visiting the orange menace at the White House. Nah, I'm a Mariners fan so I'm safe.

Tesla earned $2.3 billion in the United States in 2024.

You'd think it paid a lot in taxes, right?

Well it paid precisely $0 in federal income taxes last year.

You want waste and fraud? Look at what some big corporations and the rich are getting away with.
