Had anyone said “Michael D. Jordan” yet? Because, Michael D. Jordan
TWISTED BY LOVE (Tubi) At around the 29 minute mark, this contains maybe the worst movie blooper I’ve ever seen. The scene ends, the actors talk about the take, the director resets, and they do another take. It’s all left in the edit.

It was 7:15 here and my wife and I were looking for the next big city to do a live ball drop for the kids so they could go to bed. UTC-1 is wild
The Times Square ball drop is a nice bit of pageantry, but the “real” New Year is of course at midnight Central Time

We were having trouble selling our house and were complaining to a coworker about the market. Coworker said his neighbor was also complaining to him about selling his house. World Series champion Greg Holland’s house on zillow was a lot nicer than mine
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Me, but I’m talking about “Doug”
A quarter-century after its premiere, “The West Wing” is a vastly more cynical show than many of its admirers remember, which is why it is also a more compelling work of art than many of its skeptics assume.
‘The West Wing’ was more cynical than we remember – and better for it
The beloved show is not a paean to good government so much as it is a wrenching exploration of how politics corrupts even well-meaning people.

Explain your username

It’s a reference to one very obscure episode of the 1990s Swamp Thing tv show. This is dead serious

I’m an actuary who has worked in life insurance for a decade, and I eat slop from wherever.

“We’ve paid a lot of claims, accelerated death benefits”. “I know too much”
Bill Marler has worked on foodborne illnesses cases for decades — and he orders his steak cooked gray, never pink.

“I’ve been in too many ICUs. I’ve been to too many funerals,” Marler said. “I know too much.” https://wapo.st/48Rw01P

Feel like Waluigi would be on the Epstein flight logs but not Wario and I think that’s the fundamental difference between the characters

“Those of us on the left should be fighting to improve protections for workers of all races, and thereby for the betterment of people’s material conditions regardless of their views,” Arash Azizi argues:
Why the Cinnabon Story Doesn’t Make Me Happy
The left should be promoting working-class solidarity, not delighting in seeing workers summarily dismissed.

Just flew into Asheville. Sat next to an elderly woman. She proceeded to whip out Facebook and was liking posts in groups titled “ANTIFA brigade” that would get visits from the feds. She rocks

For all Universal HC/Single Payer/M4A advocates.

What do the biggest, expensive hospital chains do. Do they opt out and only serve the rich ?

Who in the USA gov runs the program?

R U ok with having to see a primary care doc before you can see a specialist ?

Tried listening to this on the trip to a Polar Express train ride with the 4-6-8 yr olds to meet santa. Hit pause so fast 10 minutes in I almost broke my carplay. Could have had train cars full of hysterics

Obviously this is impossible because Alan Moore looks like he's genetically a wizard, it's simply impossible to imagine what he would look like as a schoolboy oh there he is.

For those we have failed, Emmitt Till you are loved.

We can hear the waves, Katrina, and they are coming.

Tupelo! the King has come!

Song of Ascension (the Pascagoula Humanoid and its memories)

Cotton, or the battle of Vicksburg.

The ghosts cry out Beauvoir!

The crossroads are dust
Question: if Sufjan Stevens did an album about your state, what would there be songs about? (sorry, Michigan and Illinois, you have to sit this one out.

I'll go first for Maryland:
1. Baltimore
2. Harriet Tubman
3. The Snallygaster
4. The pursuit of John Wilkes Booth
5. The Chesapeake
6. Crabs
