Here's one of the main reasons why I'm 100% sure AI is in a bubble, regardless of any potential "success" it has in the next 6-12 months.
Right now the majority of AI "success" at scale has been found in AI coding tools for software engineers.

COULD WE JUST, UH, MAYBE NOT IGNORE THAT THIS ISN'T JUST A BAD DEAL IN TERMS OF OPTICS BUT ALSO IN TERMS OF WHAT MADE IT INTO THIS FUCKING ABSOLUTELY NOT CLEAN AT ALL BILL
Buried inside the deal to reopen government is a provision that would give Senators private right of action to sue for millions in damages over their phone records being analyzed by Jack Smith's team.

I will not support the Republican bill that’s on the Senate floor because it fails to do anything of substance to fix America’s healthcare crisis.

Oh damn! Two-RAD household. Despite their QA challenges c. 2022-23, I like our bikes and I really hope it doesn't come to them shutting down. Guess I need to buy a backup battery & parts ASAP?
NEW: Rad Power Bikes has told employees it will go out of business in January without new funding.
The company said in a staff email that it had a "very promising" option to stay alive, but whatever that was, it fell apart.

Why is the "we must be united!" hectoring directed at people who are mad at the Cavers and not to the Cavers? Everyone who's mad was united, then the Cave Caucus walked across the aisle and betrayed what the public had been told was the Dem position.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

What's crazy about this take is how the Sydney Sweeney discourse flared up again on X last week but was completely ignored on here. His brain is cooked on reactionary discourse and thinks everyone has his warped conception of a view on it.

this is the main problem with will stancil, is that when he sees evidence his 'everything is fine actually' model is wrong, he says 'oh wow who's lying to me now' and never ever ever ever considers that he missed something
like he sees poor ppl saying 'i am struggling' and he says 'um, source?'
like he sees poor ppl saying 'i am struggling' and he says 'um, source?'
the thing about will stancil and nate silver and the rest of the economy dorks is that theyre doing the same thing white people are trained to do with racism but for inequality, so they see all the same evidence of phenomenal sorrow all around us that the rest of us do, but they think it's all fake

Do you plan to support a challenger to Schumer, and primary challenges to all the yea voters, or is this just talk?
It is a massive mistake to strip tens of millions of people of their health insurance. It’s an outright betrayal of what families need.

if you genuinely think Schumer and Democratic leadership opposed this & Republicans coincidentally got exactly the number of votes they needed to avoid a filibuster and none of those votes are from Democratic Senators who are up for reelection in the midterms next year, I have a bridge to sell you.

Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him
And they should, given this is his fault.
And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.
Let’s be clear: Chuck Schumer is the one ending this shutdown, no matter how the votes read.
Chuck Schumer is claiming that he’s voting no, while letting other Senators (Fetterman, Kaine, King, etc) do HIS dirty work.
He must be removed from his leadership & primaried for the sake of this country
